Committed to Health & Safety
The employment of a dedicated director for Health & Safety demonstrates Wessex Window Systems commitment to this important issue. A full programme of training and awareness has been developed and implemented that surpass today's demanding requirements.
The company has developed a 'best practice' regime where all employees are fully first aid trained with extensive knowledge of over 26 safe working practices in the work area, which are constantly monitored in-house. The company has instigated many safety programmes including Mobile Tower Erection, Use and Inspection of Steps and Ladders, Management of Asbestos, and Manual Handling.
Mechanisms are used to evaluate every site project Wessex Window Systems undertake with the company also reinforcing the procedures within the work place. Before work commences, a qualified member of the team arranges a site visit and a thorough risk assessment is carried out covering every aspect of the build. The company reviews risk assessments on a daily basis. A written report is then made available to the client.
Carrying out unannounced Health &Safety checks on site once the work has commenced ensure that the installation teams conform to correct safety procedures and that each staff member is wearing approved safety clothing.
